We are a small family studio making made-to-measure kurtas, sherwanis, blouses and suits. We also take on the everyday work: hems, waists, zips and the favourite shirt that needs one more year.
What we make
Kurtas and pathanis
Cotton, linen and khadi for daily wear, silk blends for festivals. Collar, placket and length to your choice.
Sherwanis and bandhgalas
Wedding and occasion wear with a proper canvas and hand-finished buttonholes. Two fittings included.
Blouses and salwar suits
Saree blouses with lining and padding as you like, salwar and churidar sets, princess and katori cuts.
Alterations
Taking in, letting out, shortening, new zips and linings. Most small jobs are ready in two to three days.
How an order works
- Bring the fabric, or choose ours. We keep a small shelf of cottons, linens and suiting. Bring a garment you like and we will note what works.
- Measurements and a sketch. About twenty minutes. We write everything in your own card, so the next order is quicker.
- First fitting. For occasion wear we fit the garment basted, before the final stitching.
- Collection. Daily wear takes about a week, sherwanis three to four weeks. During the wedding season please come early.
About the studio
The shop was opened by our father with one machine and a cutting table. Today four of us work here, and the same table is still in use.
We do not take more orders than we can finish properly. That is why we sometimes ask you to wait, and why many customers have been coming back for twenty years.

We work by walk-in for alterations and by appointment for new orders and fittings. Please bring the garment or fabric with you.
